Minsur S.A. – located in San Isidro-Lima, Peru recently contracted with Loesche America, Inc. to supply a complete slag grinding plant including mill and peripheral equipment. Minsur SA is a producer of copper, lead, silver and tin. The installation should be completed by Spring 2005.

How do you know if you need a new classifier?
Ask yourself whether or not you need to save money.
The #1 reason our customers bought new classifiers is
to save money by grinding a finer fuel source. Like you,
many of our customers are frustrated by the increasingly
high costs of coal and they have switched to pet coke
as a viable alternative. As you know, pet coke needs to
be ground much finer than coal in order to achieve the
same heat intensity when burned. They soon discovered
that most static and even some dynamic classifiers can’t
grind pet coke as fine as required. For some customers
that means a fuel cost savings of $1 million
